Bloody Ploughman
Bloody Ploughman
Sweet, crisp and juicy. Chunky bright red eating apple, shiny with ribs and pink tinged flesh. Vigorous Scottish variety that will grow well in cold spots. Gets its name from the legend that it grew from a seed in an apple that a ploughmans wife found in his jacket, after he had been shot by a gamekeeper possibly for scrumping the apples.
