What is Mycorrizal fungi? These are fungal threads that occur naturally in association with most plants, but particularly trees and bushes. The 'threads' reach out further than the roots, and will transfer nutrients to the plant. They also create networks in themselves and will help maintain the whole balance of a woodland ecosyatem or other group of plants. One of the largest Mycorrizal networks that have been discovered covers 7 miles square.
